The first thing to do is remove the air filter, and check it to see if water is present, and has soaked the air filter. If this is the case, then, there can be water in the combustion chambers. What you do NOT want to do is to spin the engine. If you try this, the connecting rods may bend, as the water in the chambers will not compress. Remove the ALL of the spark plugs, and THEN try to bump the engine, bump it over, don't keep cranking it. After 10-12 bumps, and there is no more water exiting the spark plug holes, THEN spin it. Dry off th eplugs and reinstall them. If you have no rattling noises after it starts, you will be fine. If you have major knocking noises, you may have a bent connecting rod.
Sounds like there is water in the engine. First check the oil level, if it is over full you have water in the crankcase and will need to drain the water form the oil pan. Next you will need to remove all of the spark plugs because it sounds like it is hydrolocked. with the spark plugs removed spin the motor over with the starter and after a bit of that, most of the water should have cleared form the cylinders. once you get it running, go over all of your fluids looking for anything overfull, indicating water intrusion and change anything suspect.
