Check or put a ground wire on the light. maybe its bad. run from brake light to a suitable ground, to see if it works.

1999 Chevy Malibu driver side tail light won't come on.

I would say that the tail lamp isn't plugged in but- if it is follow the wiring from the tail lamp forward there must be a break in the wiring -maybe someone cut the wires to patch in towing lights - cheers Denny

2002 Chevy Malibu. Left side brake lights not working. Brake lights come on when car is started, so I know that (new) bulbs are fine. Any ideas? Right side lights are fine.

the socket (or board) that the bulbs are on are known to go bad. its actually a common repair. the lights coming on when vehicle is running is just a parking light not the brake light. you either installed the wrong bulb(needs to be a double filament) or the board is no good. Good luck

2004 Chevy Malibu driver's side turn signal doesn't work

resistance from the bulbs activate the flasher, so if a light is out it won't flash, could be a ground or an open circuit, time to check wiring

Turn signal and brake light

check the plug in the trunk lid mine did that and the plug was completely disconnected, yours may just be loose, or have a broken wire
