2007 Honda Fit with 50K. Intermittently misfire.

2007 Honda Fit with 50K. Intermittently has a hesitation/misfire. Has set service engine soon light, but did not keep a code after vehicle had been turned off. Spark plugs and air filter replaced recently. Anyone see this before?

Hi, i have the same problem on my Fit (2007 120K) :( Did you find what is causing that ? I took my car to the dealer. They suspected coils but sais that if one's broken, it should not be intermittent... Spark plug seems ok even if they are showing some usure. They were suspecting motor valves; they founded some exhaust valves too tight. Paid 180$ for nothing; my problem still there. How a head gasket can cause misfire ? Can it be fuel filter, fuel pumps or injector ? Can it be timing chain or belt ; don't know the type in that model ?

I have a similar problem. It happens more often on hot days with Air conditioning on. Also happens when accelerating. Could it be a stretched timing belt. Car has 57K miles.

I had the same problem on a Honda Fit and found that replacing the coil packs and the spark plugs with OEM fixed it right up. Do not get after market. The Honda Fit has specialized coil packs and plugs. I can tell you tired aftermarket replacements and the problem came back quickly, but the OEM parts were solid!

What causes hesitation in a 2007 honda accord v6

Could be many things. I assume no codes are set, so bad TPS possible, bad cat converter or muffler, even coolant temp sensor or O2 sensor starting to fail. Tune up items also.

Engine stalls at idle. hard starting sometimes.can run absolutely perfect for a day or two.when engine stalls tach goes completely dead right now. cleaned out inside distributor with Wd40, thought it might...

stalls can be cause by at least 50reasons (and more for parts bad)
the #1 reason from 1920 to now, never doing tuneups.
ever read the operators guide? on tuneups? by mileage?
bingo
http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-accord-owners-manuals/

bar none. !
ill list (not a guess) the top three not tune up missed.
1: egr leaks. clean it, but is in the service sched for 50k on most cars made.
2: timing belt slipped.
3: isc sticking ,clean it.

the 50 ways are all under misfire, misfire causes too low RPM at idle
and has 50 failure paths. I can post the link, to the ways.
but will not.

2003 honda fit intermittent hesitation

@ aroyb - A timing light are you kidding? This vehicle has solid state distributor(no cap and rotor). It has computer controlled ingition and engine timing so a timing light is useless.

What is oil change schedule for 2007 DTS also transmission fluid change schedule

Your vehicle's engine requires oil meeting GM Standard GM6094M. You should look for and use only an oil that meets GM Standard GM6094M. SAE 5W-30 is best for your vehicle.
The best Brand is 5W-30, Mobile 1 synthetic oil, but you can use Castrol GTX 5W-30, too. It is very important to use only one barand of engine oil.
When the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message in the Driver Information Center (DIC) comes on,
means that an oil change service is required for your vehicle.
If the engine oil life system is ever reset accidentally, you must service an oil change for your vehicle within 3,000 miles (5 000 km), or three months wichever comes first, since your last service.
The maintenace tune ups for this car are scheduled at 25K, 50K, 75K, 100K and so on.
Dealer recomend to change the transmission oil and filter at Maintenace II, at 50K, and the air filter too. Use only DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.
The dealer sugest to flush the radiator every 75K and use 50/50 mixture with distilled water, and use only DEX-COOL. I recommend to flush every 50K.

2007 Honda Fit Base hesitating

No real answer to the first half of your question, but I do know that when you are revving the engine to 5,000 rpm in neutral you are hitting the engine's rev limit. It is most likely not related to your original complaint.
