Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 1998

Here is the fuse box diagram, but the Elantra appears to have a rather funky battery fuse! Most vehicles have a main battery fuse but it is on the battery connector wire. If you put in a new ECM, was it programmed to the vehicle?

Fuel pump relay on the 98 Elantra is contained with MAP sensor. So test MAP sensor.

Passenger compartment relay box next the ECM
you will see 5 relay
2 to the left & 1 in the middle & 2 to the right

The one in the middle is the fuel pump relay

When I put a Cd in the cd player it says error 42 Hyundai azera 2006

under the driver side dash is the ECM, just above it should be a small cluster of relays. i forget which one is fuel pump, but if you plunk them out one at a time and listen for fuel pump whirring when you put key in the on position you can isolate which one it is.
also, are we totally sure this is a fuel problem?...

check this spot. fuel pump relay is under the bonnet in the fuse box. it should tell you watch one it is

The filter is located at the rear seat, you have to remove it first, then you will see a cap attach with some screws. Inside that cap you`ll find the fuel filter. Before you change the fuel filter you have to release the fuel pressure first. To do that, first find the FUEL PUMP RELAY in the main fuse box located in the engine. Once you located open the fuel door and take off the cap and leave it open. Start the engine, take off the FUEL PUMP RELAY and leave the engine stop itself, when this occurs turn off the key, the you can take off the filter and changed it

well it could be as simple as just replacing the fuel pump relay. it's located in the junction box under the hood. if the relay is good then check the fuel cutoff switch. that is located behinfd the fabric in the trunk along the wheel wells. if this was not triggered then it could be that you might have a glitch in the ecm water is not kind to computers especially cars that have the ecm's in the engine compartments
