You need to take off the timing belt (or chain) cover and see why the one camshaft is not turning. Maybe the belt for that cam broke or the cam has seized from a bad cam bearing. One camshaft should be for the intake valves, the other cam is for the exhaust valves.
most likely a bad head from driving it 10 miles with no engine cooling being a saturn it could also be a crack in the block, i would get it to a shop for diagnostics it is best that the engine is not started or run until repairs are made to prevent further damage
Head gasket blown and compression is building in the cooling system and pushing the coolant out.
To check this you can get a block test kit from Napa Auto parts or a good parts supplier (or may have a shop check it so you don't have to buy the whole kit).
Its a blue liquid and a tube with a suction device and a cone. You empty some coolant from the radiator and run the car at idle. hold the tube with the blue liquid in the radiator opening and draw vapor into the tube. If the liquid turns yellow that means there is combustion chamber gasses in the cooling system (head gasket, cracked head, cracked block)
Also if you replaced the belt and this started happening, make sure its routed properly
very likely it is the fuel pump when you push the gas pedal puts car in clear flood mode resets the pump check your fuel pump fuse make sure not a hairline crack in the fuse intermitantly letting current pass through
you have either cracked the block cracked the heads or taken out the headgaskets. this can be an expensive fix to do it right you will need to rebuild or replace the engine.
These engines have a timing chain, not a belt. They also have nylon coated guides under the cover that wear. If you change the chain yourself, or have it done, check the guides as well.
You have said your car is an SL model, if it an SL or SL1 you will have the single overhead cam engine. There is a TSB from GM ablut heads that crack, I had a 96 SL1 that did the same thing, and I had to replace the cylinder head. Many people just put in a head gasket because it is so common on 4cyl cars. This will not fix your problem. What has happened is a presure galery that feeds oil to the cam on the head is cracked into a cooling passage, and the 45psi oil is being pulped slowly into the 15psi cooling system. You will probably need to replace rubber cooling and heater hoses as the oil will attack and weaken them, and set you up for possibly another problem down the road. I hope this was helpful. Andrew
