I believe in that era G.M.had what they called their H.E.I. and it was .060, check on radiator top or in engine compartment or its in the owners manual or better yet call a G.M.. dealer they'll know for sure

I have a 87 fiero L4 4cyl standard 5 speed manual tansmission.idle is rough and real bad when you come up to a stop and push the clutch in and let of the gas pedal. it cant find a steady rpm and it goes...

For what I can see you need a tune-up

- spray fuel cleaner into the throttle body directly don't let the rpm drop too much but very close to stall. The engine must be normal temp around thermostat opening.
This part of the job needs to be done with the old spark plugs.

- spark plugs + adjusting gap of the new ones
- compression test.(no more differences between each cylinder +- 25 psi)
- clean throttle body and IAC valve.
Don't forget to change the fuel filter. That should solve your problems.
hope it helps

Do you know plug wire line up for a 1995 pontiac fiero 2.3

The Pontiac Fiero was made from 1984 to 1988
In the 84 thru 88 Fiero's they had the 2.5L In-Line 4-Cylinder or the 2.8L V6.
I have included both below

For the 2.5L In-Line 4-Cylinder:
Firing Order:
1 - 3 - 4 - 2
Cylinders:
.........(back)............
...1....2....3....4...
.........(front)
Distributor Connections:
..............2
...................(+)
....4
....................1

..........3

For the 2.8L V6:
Firing Order:
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
Cylinders
.......(back).........
...1.....3.....5...
......................
...2.....4.....6...
