Have you tried a local salvage yard? Wrecking yard? Junk yard? Or if there are none convienent, how about looking on Ebay? Or checking with your local Auto Parts store, AutoZone, O'Reillys, Advance, ect. I'd try the junk yards first, and if none available, then the aftermarket stores. Good luck, and good hunting.

The trans that is in your Explorer does not have a dip stick. It has a fill/drain plug in the trans pan that is used to fill and check the fluid level in your trans.

Check your trans fluid - if low add dextron mercon fluid, if it still acts up you may need to change your fluid and filter - then if it still acts up you could have done damge by driving it on low fluid

Location of auto trans dip stick on 91 Ford Tempo 4 cyl.
It's right next to the air filter and behind the radiator fan and to the right of the oil dipstick. The transmissions is black and the oils is yellow. If it's a manual, there's no dipstick there. If not check close to the forewall towards the back of the engine.
