It should just have 1 bolt holding it in. easy to replace. look at the end of the axle for a 2 wire sensor.

What would cause the two rear wheel speed sensors to read double the vehicle speed.

2wd or 4wd truck NO VIN posted so not sure what this is at all
r
so never ever see this one car work right ?
both ABS left and right rear?
double compared to what???????????????
learn how,? using what methods.
both rear wheels in the air rears
speedo speed,?
A/t box?
or the up to 3 transmission VSS sensors speeds?

some cars PCM use ABS for road speed.
(it averages all 4 to get true speed) my Jeep does.

no DTS posted at all ,must we guess them>?
wrong ABS parts used? axle swaps and now ABS sensor and tone wheels are dead wrong/
nobody can know history of car (service)

look at any ABS tone wheel ring
it has a large number of teeth and 1 full turn
produces a huge number of pulses. and the PCm counts them down by the teeth count.
to 1 turn, if wrong parts here it will fail
sellers for rings show 54 teeth, to count down
is car 4wd or 2wd, that too can use different parts here.
or scan tool not set to 2wd or 4wd mode.? or is lame.
when did car run right before now (your eyes)
rear or front hub tone ring. the axle hub can rust and it might slip,. I hear they do.
ring-undefined-undefined-0.jpg 54t

the PCm to do RPM here it must scale many thing for MPH. (true speed)
this ring divided by 54 is one turn. and by tire diameter to computer speed.(turns per mile)
then gear axle ratio must be used to computer VSS tail shaft speed say 3:1, the tranny spins 3 times faster. than the axle (easy no?)

see?
so if doing comparisons of all these sensors one must know all those facts. or will be wrong./
post DTC to get better help

and if all actual brake are ok all disks, and calipers
ABS can not use defective brakes, a tad weak sure.
not with warped rotors or omg cracked rotors
or wrong wheel size or mixed up wrong tire sizes.
or caliper slider pins are siezed
or caliper pistons seized or more.

2008 ford escape when the abs light is on i have no brakes what can fix this

You need a mechanic with a high level scan tool to check the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Live Data. It is probably ABS Sensor related, but should never leave you with no brakes..

How do i test the rear abs sensor on a 2007 tacoma

there is a good chance that the wire for the sensor has an internal break, this can happen if the axle drops down or the brake calipers falls down. Replacing the wire from the sensor to where it connects to the harness should fix this.

Toyota cavalier 1996 the abs light, how?

Toyota cavalier??? Chevy tacoma???
You might have a wheel sensor issue (part of the wheel bearing assembly) It tell the abs computer the wheel speed, and if one is bad, it will error the abs, and turn the light on. You can get this checked with an abs scanner hooked up, or ohm out all of your speed sensors with a meter.
