TCC solenoid could bad or the button could be bad, or the ECM could be bad, along with wiring. when you pull the fuse the transmission shifts with pressure. Hard shifts at higher RPM's. Needs to be scanned( which does't do to much) and checked with a volt/ohm meter. Since it still goes to OD, Your transmission is still working. You have an electrical issue.
You can use thar switch to control transmission/gear box response, middle is for normal driving, power is for holding gears up to higher RPMs and the other ones should say some like Snow, basically starts driving the car from 2nd gear to avoid wheels slippage.
your is best bet is to purchase a service manual from your local mitsubishi or automotive store and then you will gave a complete reference for your vechicle.
