2020 Chevy Tahoe Z71. Do I need to replace my airbag module?

Question edited for clarity, 'year make model' first.

This is one job, I would not do myself. The airbags are extremely dangerous if they go off, even if just reconnecting the battery. I would replace the impact sensors. Not sure if they are resettable, but I would replace anyway.

Often, having the sensors reset and recalibrated is adequate. However, when the airbag does deploy, there's more to do than just replace the airbag.

My headlights wont work since i had the steering column worked on

My guess is one of the multi pin plugs around the column is not connected or not fully home. Be careful in this area because, yes, you can trigger the airbag. If the key is Off then its very unlikely this will happen because it needs an impact to the front sensors to operate. Checking the light circuits won't do it.

Where is airbag sensor on 2010GMC terrain

There are a few of them. Mostly found on the front of the vehicle on the bumper or in front of the radiator. Remember to disconect the battery before service to insure you dont accidentally discharge your air bags.

I have too disconect the fuse ,too keep the battery from gowing dead when the truck is turned off, have to pull the 30 amp fuese or the air bag system.

Well, the good news is that you have narrowed down and almost pinpointed your problem. follow your airbag wiring from the sensors in the front and work backwards. check the airbag computer that is usually located under the front seat, depending on what year it is. I hope it is only a bad wire. AAMCO advertises that they will check your airbag light with a computer for free. this will give you a more specific idea of what is wrong. But rule out any obvious wiring issues first. I am positive the computer will tell you what's wrong exactly, but if not, go to you tube to find out how to detect battery drains with a multimeter. It is easier than you might think. then do it.

What does airbag fault code 47 mean on a 2001 f150?

Bad sensor on the front. Will need a proper computer to determine which one! Always disconect the battery before unplugging these sensors, the airbag may go off. The sensors are at the front of the vehicle on the rad support! Left, right, or middle???

Why is the airbag light on in my dodge caravan sport 2003

Normally the light comes on when airbag fuse is blown. But it could be a bad airbag sensor located at the front of the vehicle. Check fuse first, if that's not it, I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to have sensor changed. They are very delicate sensor and could deploy airbag if not done carefully.

How to remove the steering wheel without deploying the airbag? I want to replace it with another one like it but customized and install the airbag back to it.

Disconect the battery completely both cables. let it sit disconected for a while 20-30 minutes. Or if you feel safe doing this which it is safe. Both cables removed from battery toch them together away from the power source. This will send any and all left over power stil in system straight to ground and you will be clear to remove steering wheel. Do what you have to doo and the very last thing is to hook up the battery negative cable last.

Changing front end need to know where the air bag deployment sensors are and what I need to do so they won't go off?

If you are unsure, disconnect the battery and remove the fuse for the airbags. Just put the fuse back in before you hook up the battery. Most airbag sensors are mounted on the frame in front of the rad.

Airbag dash light

Transport Canada Vehicle Recalls & Defects Database Transport Canada Recall # 2007169 Recall Date:  2007/05/30 Notification Type:  Recalls Audit System:  Airbag Manufacturer Recall Number:  G09 Units Affected:  question.gif 51,000 Category: Minivan Recall Details: On certain vehicles the left or right front supplemental airbag sensors may crack under certain conditions, which can allow water to enter into the sensor. This can cause the airbag warning lamp to illuminate. A malfunction of one or both of the supplemental sensors will not adversely affect safety or cause a failure to comply with government standards. The single-point sensor in these vehicles, which is located in the airbag control module, is operational even if both supplemental sensors are inoperative. DaimlerChrysler has decided to launch a Customer Satisfaction Notification to advise customers that these front airbag sensors will be replaced with redesigned sensors to reduce the potential for damage. This action is not being conducted under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
