2004 ford focos st170 drivers door locks with key fob but will not unlock but works with the key in lock
SOURCE: mini central locking not working
There are two settings for the fob to unlock doors. One is both doors unlock, and the other is the drivers door on the first click, and then after waiting about two sec. pushing again unlocks the passenger door. The dealer has to set this function. I find that if I don't wait long enough, the passenger door does not unlock.

check the obvious first beacuse this doesnt really seem llike a problem with the key , if the key needs resetting you will not be able to start the car with that key. has the battery in the key fob
been low or been replaced recently
, make sure all the doors are properly shut includind the bootlid , as most modern cars cenral locking systems does the lock unlock if a door is only partially shut,
resetting a key is not a diy job . the key needs to go to a locksmith or peugeot dealer .
let us know how you get on
and please rate

Hi there, this is a very common fault, you need to replace the drivers door actuator to stop the noise, ive done loads of these. hope this helps.

unlock with key and hold key over for 30 secs(windows may go down)then lock with key and hold over for 30 secs(windows may go up)then press remote unlock button and hold for 30 secs, you have just reset system...the closer you have to get to the car for the remote to work the lower the battery power.sensor on top of dash(little black dimple)rarely,if at all, goes wrong.....

Method 1: Press lock or unlock button 4 times in succession. Method 2: Switch ignition ON and OFF. Within 10 seconds press lock and unlock button in succession.
This is the only manual reset
If this does not work go to your local auto electrician
The probable fault could be central locking activator passenger door
