I can't turn off the factory installed alarm on my 2005 Rav 4.

The alarm has drained the battery. I am charging the battery now. Whenever I open the door, the alarm goes off and I have to disconnect the charger until it stops going off. I can't turn the alarm off with the key fob button thingy. Is there a way for me to disable the alarm? Is there a fuse that I can remove until I can get this fixed?

Yeah. disconnect the battery, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position. leave the driver's side door open, and reconnect the battery. the alarm will chirp a few times while you're putting the battery back on, but this SHOULD work.

you might as well go ahead and take the battery out of the remote for the alarm as well, to make sure its not setting your alarm off as well. you can replace the battery in the remote once the battery is reconnected in the vehicle. the remote might need to be reprogrammed if the alarm goes off again, otherwise its time to go to the toyota dealership!

!!WARNING!! make sure the key isnt in the position to START the vehicle, you just want the key ON. make sure that nothing else in the vehicle is on, and also, be VERY careful when reconnection the battery, as it will spark when it makes its connection. if you have been charging the batter a lot, make sure to give the battery time to cool down, because when car batteries get hot, they emit hydrogen, which is explosive. this IS a risky move, but is the only thing you can do, unless you either install a kill-switch or charge the battery and drive to the dealership while the alarm is going off. sometimes, when you start the vehicle, the alarm will stop, but im assuming this isnt your case.

Key alarm sounds even after key is removed. Drained battery.

Make sure your Battery is fully charged. A partially charged Battery can make the alarm system malfunction. Also, make sure the
regulator is charging the Battery. Some key alarm systems can
and will drain your battery if the Car is rarely driven especially
if there is a ignition kill switch wired into the system. The key alarm
system on my Mercedes 560SL used to drain my battery whenever
I didn't drive the car enough.

2005 DODGECARAVAN.when conected to OEM the car starts and imidiately dies, and the head lights come on and wont turn them of, is there a way to fix this or do I need a new OEM comp.

OEM is not a specific part. It means original equipment manufacturer. Are you referring to your PCM/ECM? That is the main computer/control module. Is your battery fully charged and charging system working properly? Have you installed any after market equipment or accessories? Automotive electronics can do all sorts of strange stuff when there is a power (battery voltage) problem. A faulty relay is also a possibility.

Need reset security does not have keyless entry

THIS WORKS ONLY ON FACTORY SYSTEM ONLY NOT AFTER MARKET OR DEARLER INSTALLED SYSTEM
. Find the RED / GREEN (-) wire located in the "25 PIN" Plug at the Driver Kick Panel / Door Harness.
Ground the RED / GREEN (-) wire.
This will DisArm the Factory Alarm until the Ground is removed.
OR
You can try (does not always work):
Be sure battery is fully charged
Disconnect Negative Battery Cable
Open Driver Door & LEAVE Open
Turn Ignition Switch ON & LEAVE On
Reconnect Negative Battery Cable
Alarm may sound for a few seconds
Start vehicle

Battery drain

Since you have replaced the battery, the next step is to make sure the alternator is charging the battery, and to look for a power drain.
When the car is off, someone would remove the battery cable and using a test light as a jumper pull all of the fuses and disconnect the main wiring until the light goes off. That circuit would be tested for a short or a component not turned off.

Alarm goes off even after unlocking with remote

If the alarm has a siren with a backup battery, then check the condition of the siren battery. Is it drawing a large charge (drop in amps from the battery. Run a parasitic drain test). If so, then the siren could be at fault.

Is the alarm fitted with a sonic motion detector? Looks like two tiny speakers in a unit fitted in the centre of the dash. If so, this unit could be faulty.

Many after market alarm systems by the way, tend to only last for a few short years before failing. Is this an aftermarket product or factory?

My factory alarm keeps going off on my 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT when I open the door with my key. The only way I can turn the alarm off is by unlocking the door from the inside.

I hope you solved your problem and this is a late answer so if it helps anyone then OK good. When the door is open look down on the inside trim where your door meets when it shuts. There is a rubber boot covering an activator switch. Simply remove the screw, pull the module out and unplug it. Whenever you open the door it will not activate the alarm. There is nothing in the door that activates the alarm; only when you open the door.

Cant fnd the battery in toyota rav 4

Open the hood the battery is on the left side up near the windshield, there will be a small box with two tabs lift tab outward & the battery is there. If you have a alarm you will have to leave the drivers door open & turn the key to the on position so the alarm will not go off.

My 2005 corvettes battery was drained after sitting for too long. I recharged the battery but when I tried to restart the FOB were not being detected and the horns and lights go off like someone is trying...

The car's security/keyless entry system needs to be reset, and it's not recognizing the keyless entry FOB.

Check this LINK for how to re-program the FOB, which should allow you to turn off the alarm.

I don't know how to reset the alarm without the FOB, but it should be in the Owner's Manual.

Can not lock car by key remote . toyota rav 4 53 plate

If your car has an alarm with a separate remote, it is a separate system and it is probably self-arming. When you lock the doors with the key central lock, the alarm gets armed by the RAV4 being OFF and the door locking action. When you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm is still armed because the key is not comunicating with the alarm just the cars factory keyless system.
