You will need to remove the battery negative terminal (be careful if you still have the factory stereo, you will need the access code due to the anti- theft built into the radio) if this is a go, I would remove the air inlet covering the wingnut on the battery holder, remove the positive cable and remove your battery. the next step is to remove the Air Intake filter and hose. the air filter has 4 screws, and the hose has a clamp for the one on the Carb. this should now allow access to the starter, remove the positive connection, three bolts on the starter, replace as you have taken apart, I hope this solves your issue, Good Luck!
