if timing belt as never been changed on this 1994 vehicle then it might be time to do so along with a major tune up and oil change. timing belt is crucial on this year vehicle if its never been changed

If it has a 4 cyl. engine, the timing chain should be replaced at 30,000 miles. If it is a V6, the timing belt should be replaced at 60,000 miles.

you did not especify engine type, if you only remove the distribuitor, or you are changing timimg belt(broken belt V6 only)

If I am not mistaken you have to change out the timing belt also when changing it cause it runs off the timing belt. So you will have to pull the front side of the motor down. Big job did one on a accura

You need to be very careful: Rotating the Engine with a Interference Engine will cause Valve Damage if not done properly.

Make sure you do not use the Trapezoid/Square Knotched Belts with Round Type Sprockets nor Round Knotched Type Belts with Trapezoid/Square Sprockets.

The Mark you are looking for is on the Engine Casing Lip, The Diagram on this Link should help you at least "quesstimate" if you still cannot find it.

this is an interference motor, if cranked the valves will come into contact with the piston and cause major damage. Its very possible that valves may have bent(worst case). Have the belt replaced and engine pressure tested. Hopefully its not the worst case.

If you have the 3.4 V6 engine yes you have a timing belt and you shouild change it every 90 thousand miles if you have the 4 cylinder engine no you do not it is chain driven

2003 and up Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engines do indeed have a chain and the V6 has a belt which must be replaced at 110,000 miles. Why? Ask Honda, they designed the engines.
