For more spirited driving, Audi has added a Sport-mode on all A6 automatics with Tiptronic. By selecting the "S" position at the bottom of the selector guide, drivers will notice a more enthusiastic shift pattern while still enjoying the convenience of an automatic

2004 Audi A4 Cabrio - the PRNDS flashes intermittently - sometimes staying on - then stops. Thank you, Scott.

IIf the vehicle is front wheel drive and now Quattro than then the transmission range sensor is located inside the transmission and is part of the mechatronics unit (valve body). If the vehicle isn't Quattro then the transmission range sensor is bolted to the drivers side of the transmission where the cable connectors to the shift lever. When these range sensors go bad that will cause the flashing or solid PRND light on the cluster.

The system detected a leak in the evaporative emission system, code P0455 the car is a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro conv 6cyl, 3l.

Replace the gas cap and clear the fault code, most times this clears the issue with code P0455. If it does'nt then you will have to have test equipment hooked up by the dealer to find the leak.
