My truck won't start.

My truck worked one day and wouldn't turn on the next day. I replaced the battery and the hookups to the posts but still won't start. My son-in-law says he found a burnt fuse and there is a switch under the dash that should be flipped on or off. He looked through the manual but no luck.

The starter soleniod should be checked or replaced, they are fairly inexpensive. I f the soleniod is good replace the starter. Be sure the fuse is good each time you try starting the truck

1996 Geo Metro LSI 1.3L Has issues starting. It cranks but won't turn over just replaced it March 2 2013

Check your battery connections at the starter. It may not be getting the needed volts. Just make sure they're clean and tight at the starter and the battery both. Good luck!

Did you check the engine control fuse box for issues? It is next to the battery?
The is an imprinted 'map' under the lid for direction. Check all fuses and relays and post back.

Just had plugs, wires and bottom gasket leak fixed. Car cranked next day, several hrs. later, wouldn't start.mechanic came and jumped it off, said alternator was getting too hot. Next day cranked, drove to...

That would make sense, because when he jumped your car if he left it hooked up for awhile. Then he charged your battery up, so it started the next day. Then you drove to his shop and back it ran the battery down. It's easy enough to test and change alternators you could take it to autozone or O'Reillys if there is one close they can test your alternator. If you have more questions about this or if you would like to try and change it yourself just reply to this post and I will walk you through it.
