Window went down. Won't go back up!

This is a known issue on this model with windows not working at they should.

Remove the switch panel and check to see there is 12V power there.. If there is Push the switch and see if the power comes out of it to drive the motor, if the power is not present check the wire back looking for the short.. usually if the power is missing none of the windows will work. look where the wires come out the door post to the door. look at fuses, If there is power and it does not come through the switch when you push the switch. the switch might be bad. in which case jump the switch to roll window up and buy a new switch (rock auto.com) if you apply 12v power and the window still will not go up.. you will need to replace the motor. not a hard job. you must remove door panel and remove regulator and motor and replace and reinstall. either junk yard part, craigslist part or new at Rock auto.. Hi DebbieHave you checked that the child safety switch has not been pushed by mistake it is on the main window control panel with all the other window switches

its a short in your fuse box

You need a new window regulator. The cable broke.

check relay

ford has an advantage and a curse to thier window buttons. you can disassemble and clean the contacts(I would have a student with electrical background do this) then reassemble it carefully and it will work if contact points are not fried.

the moter is off track u dont hear anything couse the moter is quiet in down its hitting i little so u get clicking

well it goes down but wont go uo if i jump the switch with a wire it goes up

Same thing happend to me, first it start with the window going up at turttle speed, and then suddenly t can go all the way up and hearinmg a clicking sound, that clicking sound is the arm of the elevator, they were broken, i just repolace the elevators
