Check 4wd in display of 04 Chev Sub

I'm getting an occasional 'Check 4wd' in dash display of 04 Chev Suburban. It will go away and come back a month or two later. A couple of days ago, while driving, I sudden felt what I would describe as a 'drag'. The truck didn't seem to roll as freely. The next time I drove it, it was back to normal and hasnt happened again. Thanks, Bob

SOURCE: chevrolet truck 4wd switch blinks

If they are blinking I believe it means that there are fault codes present in the pcm. You need to get the computer scaned to see if there are an codes present. If you live near an Autozone or Checker autoparts they can scan it for free.

Fix the problems with the 4x4 and clear all of the codes. You can try and disconncet the battery overnight, That should clear the code, But if the problem isn't fixed then It will come back on, maybe when you most need 4x4

4 wheel was working fine all day went to engage it to 4 hi and nothing no lightss on buttons replace a 30 amp fuse under hood but no change 97 gmc sub

There should be a 4wd fuse inside the driver door at the dash by front pillar. Remove cover look inside cover and find 4wd fuse, replace. If it blows again it will most likely need a front axle electronic actuator.
