My 2006 Toyota Highlander is making a DRONING sound - very loud on the highway- seems to get worse with the steering wheel slightly left and better with steering wheel slightly right. Braking and accelerating seem to have no effect on the noise. The noise makes the dash and the drivers door vibrate/rattle. not sure if it makes the noise at all at low speeds but definitely after 40mph. The car has almost 50,000 miles.

You probally have a bad front wheel bearing , when the noise changes when you move the wheel is typical of a bad bearing.this should be covered under your powertrain warr.

Where is the fuse box for the cigarette lighter of a 2006 Toyota Highlander?

In the 2006 Model the Cigarette lighter is located behind the small compartment on the drivers side dashboard left of the steering wheel. Simply lower the compartment door (Fuse box cover) and remove it to access the fuses. Jul 2010

Weak humm when driving over 35kmh.

possibly a wheel bearing or tyre noise from badly worn tyres
while driving in a straight line and noise is present change lanes or shimmy car left and right if noise gets worse or better wheel bearing problem
also if noise gets worse in normal town driving speed and gets less at higher freeway speeds check your wheel bearings

Steering wheel squeels when I make turns mainly in cold weather

It is probably a power steering belt or the power steering pump. Check the pump fluid, if it's okay get someone else to sit in the car and turn the wheel while you look under the hood. Listen to locate the sound.
