It turns over but wont fire, this has startde happening all of a sudden, when I jump start it it does eventually fire and then runs fine no problems but if there is no one around to help I am stuffed. Any ideas
Is your battery good? fully charged? It could be ignition or distributor module. Might also want to check the crankshaft position sensor.Check your fuses/relays for fuel pump and make sure your fuel pump is coming on when your key is turned to the on position.

Check the glow plug relay.....it should be identified in the relay/fuse box which should be located in the engine compartment. To check if your fuel pump is kicking on.....open the fuel tank cap, have someone turn the key on (don't try to start it just turn key to the on position) you should hear a faint hum or whirring sound from the fuel tank.

Battery is good, fully charged. How do I check position sensor, and how do I know if fuel pump is coming on, glow plug light goes out then I turn it over but it wont catch, I have only had it a couple of days and am not much of a mechanic. started fine 10 times out of 10 yesterday but today no joy without a set of jump leads and a good samaritan.
