It isn't specified. There is more than one fuse that covers transmission. You would need an auto electrician or a transmission expert to connect a pro grade scan tool computer and diagnose if the switch or solenoid is faulty. A scan tool at this level is bi-directional and can command solenoids to operate and confirm that they do.

There should be a relay or fuse under the hood in the power distribution box

dodge decided to do away with the fuse box that was located on the interior of the vehicle ( I also have a 2006 2500 diesel) there is on one fuse box located on the drivers side fender well under the hood this box is called a (TIPM TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) all power is distibuted through this box. this box is controlled by a computer with a softwear system.

look for some thing else. most likely a fuse. take a look under the hood there should be a main fuse junction box 8 x 10-12 inches rectangular neer or around the battery.goog luck..
