hook up a scanner if you have one, check to see if your scanner is registering a crank signal.
SOURCE: how to change ignition coil pack on 2003 ford
the coil pack is located on nthe back valve cover, bank1, towards the firewall.
it mounts with three bolts or torx screws.
it is kinda hard to get to but just pull off the plugwires and
it will give you more room.
there is also i radio capacitor thing that is retained by one of the bolts,

I'm pretty sure your car will have a Crankshaft Position Sensor and it is probably bad.
To avoid replacing things that aren't bad, I recommend owning a service manual for your car.
We have one in each of three different vehicles and wouldn't be without them.
We like Haynes the best.
I would suggest you run a compression check on this engine and also have the coolant recovery tank tested for the presence of combustion gases with a gas analyzer, any gases would indicate a leaking head gasket. Any engine cylinder that is lower than 5% of the highest reading cylinder in pounds per square inch has a problem like a scored cylinder or leaking intake or exhaust valve seat.
