Could also be fuel pressure, change the fuel filter and plugs. If it persists, check the fuel air mixture. It would help to know what the service people did to help diagnose what the problem is now.

Check the ECM if it has the number 1228253 on it, this is what is wrong with it. Gm trashed all of these bad ecms. Get a 16198264 as they do not cause a cutting off problem . Get a delco ecm , aftermarket units will give trouble and may be a rebuilt 1228253 which is junk.

Have an OBII scan done. (fault scan) Autozone, Advance, etc.. do this for free and will give you list of fault(s) that triggered light. They'll also reset light for you - FREE

You might be experiencing a problem with your Vats security system. GM installed these anti theft systems on almost all of its cars in the 90's. (that little black chip in your key) They are known for turning off starters and injectors.
