It is still under warranty, if you are concerned have it inspected at a dealer. You can attempt to locate the source of the noise to see if you can locate the area. One of places to check is the fuel tank.

SOURCE: the vehicle will not crank. it will turn over but

turn the key on (do not start) try and listen to hear if you can hear the fuel pump hum while it builds pressure.

If you can hear it, then you should be getting fuel pressure. You can change your fuel filter if you have low fuel pressure at the fuel rails. They have a test port on them you can check for pressure.

If you have fuel pressure and it is at good pressure of around 75 psi
Then you likely have no spark. This could be a bad crank sensor, or a bad fuse somewhere. Have you checked all your fuses?

SOURCE: fuel pump replacement on a 2003 kia sorrento

Remove negative battery terminal, release tank pressure by opening gas cap, remove the rear seat, you will see a cover, remove the cover, you will now see the top of the gas tank and also the pump, the pump is located inside the tank and can be removed from the top, next remove the connector from pump, remove the lines, note : cover lines with a rag as you remove there may be a little pressure, this will help gas from spray all over, with connector removed and lines removed you will now remove the six bolts holding the pump in, lift and remove the pump, take note of the position, make a ref mark so you can reinstall pump in top of tank facing the right way. this is called a fuel pump module, here is a picture of the pump unit.10_6_2012_2_55_35_pm.jpg

Kia sorrento Idle problem after battery replacemant

I am only finding a 3.5 V6 engine option for the 2005 KIA Sorrento. The Sportage had a 2.0 4 cylinder engine. My experience on that (2.0) engine is that the camshaft sprocket bolts will come loose and cause the dowel pin to sheer off inside the snout of the camshaft. causing major drivability issues and correlation codes. But first, if there is no clattering or weird noises from the engine, i would replace the intake cam oil control solenoid with an OEM unit and see if that doesn't fix the issue. It is very important to get this issue fixed ASAP and not to drive the car around, because if it is the loose cam sprocket bolt that i told you about, if that dowel pin completely sheers, you will end up bending the valves and have a much larger repair bill. If your rig has the 3.5 V6, then we will need to explore other timing related failures. Here is a good video of some things to check on a 2.0 engine:

Why does my key fob start my car and open trunk but will not unlock, 2019 Kia Forte

I'm assuming you are using a remote starting system from outside the vehicle? Can you actually get into the vehicle? Press the unlock button and try All the doors. This issue might be a faulty lock mechanism on one door so the other doors might unlock and the faulty one will stay locked. Replace the battery in the fob. A weak fob battery can also cause random issues with locking and starting and the batteries are usually cheap to buy. Next check the fuses for the Door Locks. The fuse will be in the engine bay fuse box. It will be labelled as either 'DOOR LOCK', (20A) or as 'B+', (40A). Try this website for a diagram of which fuse is where.

In 2 wheel drive there is a whirring sound from the front end followed by a loud clunk where it feels as though you have run over a large rock or chunk of ice. Does not seem to occur in 4wd

if the whirring you describe sounds like an airplane and increases with speed that would be a wheelbearing and it may be loose to cause the clunk noise. when it is put in 4 wheel drive that can load the bearing up and noise goes away.
