put a test light on the ground wire to a 12v power source and see if the pump is grounded properly

Iwould check the fuel pump next for 12 volts . If you have it there then you need to look at the fuel pressure regulator. The way this works is one side hooks to engine manifold vacuum and the other is pressure from the fuel pump and supplys the injectors no electrical involved but if the diafram goes or leaks you would get less or no fuel to the injectors . Its kind of hard to say for sure with out seeing it but it sounds like a no fuel issue it could be the pump so you need to investigate some more to find out if it is electrical or fuel related good luck with it
