I have an P1239 Code on a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo 3.5 DI Engine with Reduced Power light on. The Code indicates a Short on #6 Injector...which is missing and not getting Fuel. Now, a Throttle Body Code?

The P1239 indicates an issue with the High Fuel Pressure System and not an issue with the # 6 injector.

SOURCE: P1239

i have gone on the internet and looked up the code
however there was 3 2 different meanings to this one code
you need to check all oil levels as it is a warning for oil pressure as well as the throttle body
check the transmission motor oil power steering etc
if these are all fine then there is some trouble with the throttle body this is what i would pin it to.
it should be OK to drive home just be very careful keep it slow and try to stick to one speed
if it is the throttle body you will need a new one any way
if you have cruse control use it as it will keep the motor steady
avoid any harsh breaking or execrating as this makes tension KEEP IT STEADY DRIVE SLOW ABD YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET HOME DON'T GO OVER 80KPH SO ABOUT 71MHP.
don't overtake don't apply power and dont use the aircon if you can help it as this all adds presure to the throttle body
if the throttle body breaks it will not damage your motor as i said you need to get it fixed any way so you cna take the chance
the worst that will happen is you will not make it home and your car wont run till a new throttle body is put on
we have a 2005 holden rodeo at work same as isuzu and we have had this problem it was the throttle body it is ine thing that is commen with in these cars
hope this helps
good luck getting home safley

SOURCE: 2000 Isuzu Rodeo LS ~ check engine & reduced power lights

Do you know the OBDII codes? I just had to replace my Mass Air Flow sensor, it seems to have fixed my problems. But check the error codes.

SOURCE: Car keeps stalling out along with reduced power and check engine

you did not id what year/make/model but it sounds a lot like a typical failure of the MAP

however, depending on your year/make/model the code could also be a sign of an power concern to your PCM, (powertrain control module) aka computer

SOURCE: where is the port to

There is no port to check the fuel pressure on your engine. The way Isuzu has you check it is to disconnect the line a the fuel filter and you jump the terminals at the fuel pump relay (see picture below). You run the pump collecting the fuel that comes out of the line for 15 seconds. You should have at least .38 liters (don't know the conversion to pints or whatever). Now for some bad news. In most cases on your engine with the trouble code of P1239 it is the high pressure fuel pump. You have a secondary gear driven pump located/mounted on the back of the right (passenger side) cylinder head. That is what pumps high pressure to you fuel rail which in turn goes to the fuel injectors. Through my experience on many of these engines this is your problem. Now are you ready for some even better news ? That pump cost around $1,000 at the dealer and if you want a new one that's the only place to get it. I just did one a few weeks ago and did find a used one off of a wreck but it still cost me about $500.00 and it took me 3 weeks to locate one. It can be driven this way but it is hard. I am guess the reduced power light has come on and it is hardly moving. In most cases if you kind of give it a little extra gas it will build up the pressure enough to go out of limp mode but I did not recommend that because it is very unsafe in traffic. Below is a picture of that pump for you. I hate to be the guy to give you the bad news and I hope I am wrong but own a shop and this is a common thing for the 3.5 liter engines in both the Axiom and the Rodeo but they are different pumps so you have to get the one for the Rodeo only. If you have any questions feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can help you the best that I can including giving you an idea where to get a used one if you want. Hope this helps a little and good luck.

2004 isuzu rodeo 3.5l fuel injector removal instructions

no job stated, just 1 injector,? pull?
which bank or both, matters........
same as all fuel rail injectors.really....cept access.

1: do the fuel depressurize steps in the service manual.
2: battery neg lug off.
3: gain access to the rail. (obvious , sorry) intake man pulled!
remove, fuel line and cross over, fuel lineis on right bank only.
4:remove the injector connectors, or if one, just one.
5: remove the injector rail 3 rail bolts or 6 if both banks.
6: they are now free.
this one photo makes it obvious.... no?
you must get to here.

pull fuel pump relay as step 1
crank engine , let it stall from fuel,
then do it.

I have a 2004 isuzu axiom. The check engine light, reduced power light, and abs light is on. The code reads p1239. i replaced the fuel pump and fuel pressure switch. It will not go over 25 mph. What could...

wow no engine stated, but the last car made is limited so you win this missing fact.
its a Rodeo , renamed for kicks.
and the last USA isuzu,,, after plant closed in Indiana.

p1239 from a real scan tool
autozone yelled one code over shoulder.a real shop did said thisyour $10 scan tool of fleabay showed only one code and lied?or a real scan tool, name it?
the first rule 1 of scanning is have the right tool, so you can see all codes, all federal codes P0xxx and all factory codes P1 p2. p3. and more......
missing codes is like being blind in one eye or worse.
no symptoms posted, just lights, my guess this is your 2nd anon post, and engine does lack power, but for got to say that. this post.

is the transmission slipping or is trans a manual stick?
1239

ill assume one code and use google to find it.
and usa car seem it is... or Costa Rica. 3.5 L 6VE1 V6 (gasoline)

ok engine nailed down. due to last car, and one engine there.

this code is an ISUZU only code , do not read other cars codes using this code or fail, (rule 2)

in fact P1 means just that, factory extended codes. as are P2,3.
car has a unique fuel pump controller box.
and 2 sensors. even more odd, that, for fuel pressure, not level.

so that means, what?
1: the pressure is wrong, (measure it? yet)
2: the sensor is failing (fibbing) if above passes test.
guess how you tell which. on my scan tool i can read all sensor live data. so this helps vastly

my book on the 3.5L sucks , it skips pressure spec.
i could not tell which sensor is upset, low or high, but low is a good guess. id prove that out first.
