We have a 1217A and it needs service can we schedule it this way we are in Lancaster CA

Lancaster ,now i do remember these cars which were made in the UK pre-war and if i remember rightly they had pre select gearboxes and rod brakes with spoke wheels and persplex windows which shouldnt be difficult to work out how to use it maybe the pre-select gearbox is confusing you if so post a reply and i will explain

Should say in the manual. Usually check all hoses and rubber parts, brakes, fluids, timing belt etc.

timing belt at 105000 miles,transmission service when the car tells you. it will say service trans. side note only have trans serviced at volvo dealer. no one else can rest trans to the new fluid. belive me it really matters

If the cabin filter is not changed on schedule, the A/C can be damaged. You have to pull out the glove compartment to access it.

This happened to my 2006 subaru as well. The dealer in Georgia who serviced it did not replace the filter and I have no way of proving it (moved to CA now).

The maintenance schedule is an outline and should be followed if you want to keep your vehicle in good condition. the maintenance items listed in the schedule are performed at their set intervals for a reason. Manufacturers have found the wear limits on certain parts and those parts may need to be serviced or replaced at those intervals or catastrophic failures may result.

probably worn buttons,it needs to be removed and pulled apart as it may require adjusting worn pieces,or just replace the unit if you cant service it
