Calculating the theoretical horsepower needs many more details and the result usually bears little relationship to the reality. The best method is a dynamometer test but if you are interested the formula is PLAN/33000 where P is the cylinder pressure, L is the length of stroke, A is the area of the piston and N is the number of cylinders. Use Imperial units.

What is the power of engine pontiac bonneville 1967

Depends on the size of the engine. They manufactured several engines for the large vehicles. The V8 350, V8 400 and the V8 428. These had many possible horsepower outputs depending on the cubic inch size, intake, exhaust and weather they were a "Super Duty" or High Output" engine. It could have had a 2-barrel or 4-barrel carburetor, or even a special order Tri-Power in 1967. The Tri-Power is 3 2-barrel carburetors.
The horsepower ratings ran from 265hp to 390hp. I would say if your 1967 Bonneville has the original engine it may well have been a first year V8-428 running either 375hp or 390hp. Check on the (*facing the engine) "Head" , front face, behind the A/C, you should see 2-letters stamped, such as: WG, YH, WJ, or YK.
These letters designate which block-type the V8-428 is. Which will tell what horsepower it was rated at. If it happens to be a V8-428 with the very rare special-order only Tri-Power intake it is said they were rated at 425 horsepower!

If you can locate a "Motor Auto Repair Manual" from the 1960's (1961 through 1967) it will list the engine identifications, block marking, as an example a V-8 428 "YH" engine was rated at 370hp with an automatic transmission. The manual will list a multitude of information about the full mechanical workings of those Pontiacs. I have several, they are great. These manuals list many automobile makes and models made during those years.
Good luck, and I hope this helps!

Ford y block ECG3ECG3

Ford was always the most conservative of the major automakers, holding onto older designs far longer than GM or Chrysler. But market forces pushed Ford to develop new designs in the 1950s. The company had designed the Y-block for a 1953 introduction, but a shortage of nickel due to Korean war needs prevented the company from manufacturing the engine in sufficient quantities.
Ford introduced the first of the Y-block engines in 1954 on Ford cars and trucks. The engine displaced 239 cubic inches and made 139 horsepower and 193 pound-feet of torque. This represented a 25% improvement over the standard flathead from the previous year. Ford customers were enthusiastic about the new engine. Mercury customers received an uprated 256 cubic inch Y-block rated at 161 horsepower and 238 pound-feet of torque.
For 1955, Ford increased the displacement and made engines at both 272 and 292 cubic inches. The 272 made 162 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. All basic Ford products received this engine. The 292 engine gave Thunderbird and Mercury drivers 193 horsepower and 280 pound-feet. With this engine, the 1955 Thunderbird rocketed from zero to sixty in just 9.4 seconds.

Restoring....get your bank account in order, lol.Smallblock Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth...273,318,340,360 are all of the "LA" family and have the distributor in the rear of the engine, close to the firewall.Bigblock V8's,361,383,400,426,440..all have the distributor in the front of the engine,on the passenger side, mounted at an angle. This is the easiest way to visually identify small block or big block.Back then, they didnt use Liters, only cubic inches. When i say 273,426..etc...that is the engine's cubic inch displacement. You can order a parts book for your car from Year One,they specialize in restoration parts, and the book also contains information on how to further identify and decipher many things about your particular car. Also contains factory horsepower ratings for individual engines.I have a 1973 Plymouth RoadRunner with a 360 putting out about 450 horsepower at the crankshaft.Mopar or no car.
