I just put your line in Google and it came back with
Volkswagen 7 speed transmission fault. Seven Speed Direct Shift Gearbox Control Unit (DQ200).
It also gave the solution for this:

It should reset the DSG to learn mode.

  1. Turn the ignition on, without starting the engine.
  2. Fully depress and hold the accelerator in that position for about 10 seconds (You may hear / feel a click)
  3. Release the accelerator and turn off the ignition. ( Job done)

SOURCE: Golf gti left rear door locking system

it is probably your door lock has gone into safe mode.you need a new door lock.try using the lock/unlock button on your remote or on the drivers door button and gently tap the door handle with your hand while pressing the lock/unlock button, carefull not to dent your car.if that does not work, try disconnecting the cars battery for a few minutes, but note the vehicle might pick up fault codes which need a diagnostic machine to clear...good luck

SOURCE: electric windows not working, how do i fix this golf gti 115 mark

To isolate your problem a few questions needed.

  • Do you hear any noise when you hit the switch
  • Does it move a bit
  • Can you operate it from the outside locking mechanism
If you can hear the motor (regulator) but window does not operate, then we established that power is being supplied and fuse/relay are ok. Your problem is a bad window regulator or a guide cable is fraying and caused it to knot up on the guides.

If you hear nothing at all then you first need to figure whether it's a fuse, a relay or the wiring is bad.

Golf Gti Mk5 DSG on normal driving will fall into Neutral, or not find a gear for some times secs/mins - codes say electrical issues. What electrical elements do I need to check or could cause?

the electrical issues could be
wiring and connections
transmission control module
torque converter servo/solenoid problem
IT will be a electronic fault and if you have the codes then maybe we could get close to the servo/ solenoid that is the problem

My DSG Golf has a warning spanner flashing. The error codes indicate the clutches are done & that the mechatronic unit is faulty. But it's driving perfectly. Any thoughts please?

I suggest you get one of those manuals people get nowadays to do it yourself.. My brother used it to
repair my car and it's totally repaired now. he got it from. www.reliable-store.com

My 2005 golf 5 gti dsg currently has 89000km on the clock. It is used extensively in traffic covering 60km/day/week. It has developed an irritating "knocking noise" in the engine.Booked it at a local VW...

hi,
i couldn't say for certain without hearing the noise , but i have replaced one or two "dual mass flywheels" on these models, alot of people don't realise the dsg actually has a dual mass flywheel.

Cost to fix oil leak from a multi clutch cover in VW GTI golf DSG?

The only place you can get a price is from a repair shop. Find a shop that does a lot of VW work.
