My brake lights arent working but my emergency flashers are. would that be a fuse or a wiring problem?

if the third brake light is working and the left and right brake lights are not than the most likely problem is the turn signal multifunction switch.

If the third brake light is also not working and the bulb is good than check the brake light switch located above the brake pedal under the dash. There should be power on one wire all the time. There should be another wire that powers up with the brake pedal depressed. If no wires power up with the pedal depressed than the switch is bad.

I can get you specific wire information if you need it. Just let me know.

All but the third brake light work and the bulbs are new!!!

There is a wire problem to the third light. try to trace that wire from the third light down to the source that feeds it. (TEST LIGHT REQUIRED ) usually those lights have a ground source at the light itself, make sure grounded. If anything else you can find the wire at the tail-light cluster that powers the brake lights, connect a jumper wire and run it to the third light.

Center brake light still out after replacing bulb

It could be the Third Brake Light assembly is bad, remove the assembly and have someone step on the brake and you can check to see if you are getting current to the contacts or wires.

If no power, replace the assembly.

MY BRAKE LIGHTS DONT WORK, THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WORKS, FUSE IS GOOD BULBS ARE GOOD AND NEW BRSKE SWITCH, TAIL LIGHTS WORK???

you have a broken wire some were if you cant find it you can run a seperate power wire from the third brake light to the brake lights but i would check for power at the brake lights first to make sure its not a ground problem

Abs light comes on & stays on. no brake one time, replaced master cylinder@Midas. light still comes on & brake pedal somestimes goes close to floor . kind of spongy

Your brake pedal needs adjusting! And your brakes need to be replaced! Did the people @ midas look for any air bubbles while they replaced the Master cylinder? Did they get them out? Did they even look at the brakes? All of them?

Brake lights don't work. third brake light works though.

there is a fusible link. You may find it behind the panels in rear of vehicle. you can trace the wires from here.

Brake lights not working

Not even the third eye? then the fuse is blown or all the bulbs are out or the brake light switch on the break pedal is bad wire off or broken( it breaks right off the plug then crosses then blows the fuse as the loose broken wire hits the brake pedel arm. Test the break pedal switch first if the third eye doesesnt work either. no power with a test light the fuse is blown or the wire broke ( the wire goes straight to the switch from the fuse and doesnt go anywhere elese. the other wire if hot should light the lights. Most of these wont come out of park without this working as the wire also turns on the park release but some Fords the park release sticks released and Ford made em that way as they didnt like the brake to get out of park law. If the brake lights dont work maybe you ought not be able to get out of park anyway till its fixed. the switch is hot on both wires with the switch pused down and the lights dont still work go after the third eye first if the bulbs are bad change em before you do the rest of the work. on cars with yellow turn signals the brake lights all work on the same wire but red only use three wires, but you didnt say the turn signales didnt work if they work and they are red you r on the way to the turn signal switch as the brake switch powers the turn switch with power then it splites it fot the two lights and adifferent switch circuit for the front hooks them all together for hazard. yellow turns in the back or even separt bulbs can mean blown bulbs ther too its old enought for all the bulbs to fail and the runs still work.

No brake lights

Talk to the people that owed it and find out if they spliced into your wires if so they cut one

Brakes lights don't work, only 3rd brake light does.

If your third brake light is working, then we know it is not the brake switch. Get a test light and check to see if you have power at the light socket. If power is present possible bad ground. If no power, check connections inside of the trunk. Also choose a spot just behind the back seat to be sure that power is on the brake light wire, this will check for possible break along wire.
