Do you turn adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise to raise headlamp beam ?

Park 2 feet away from a wall and mark where the light is then adjust one way to see effect. Usually clockwise should raise the beam.

To raise headlamp beam, do you turn adjustment screw clockwise or counter clockwise ?

-Best way to do. Set a card board in front of your car about 8 feet and turn on the head light then turn the adjusting screw so you can tell it go up or down.

Good Luck

Can't find headlight adjustment screws

They nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

Adjusting Headlights of a 2006 Hyundai Sonota

The headlamps are adjusted by a wheel which can be operated by aphillips screwdriver. There's a hole in the top of the headlamphousing or radiator support which leads to the wheel with little teethon it on the back of the headlamp. The lamps on your car emit a veryshort but wide beam, so no horizontal adjustment should be needed.

How do I replace headlamp bulb?

Some imports require the entire light assembly to be removed in order to replace headlamps. Look to see if there are angled rods on the back side of the light assembly. If so, see if the can be pulled straight up towards the hood of the car. When they are released the headlight will be able to come forward. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Adjust Headlights Horizontally in Hyundai Sonata 2002

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well
