Your fuel pump would be located in the gas tank. It is mounted on the pick-up tube/sending unit assembly.

Hi. There is a ground wire on the frame about half way back. Be sure there is a good connection. Plus check every other ground wire. Do Not spend money on parts until you have cleaned every ground terminal!! This is an on going prob with Ford.

COULD BE PCM OR THE THE FUEL PUMP SHORTING.THE ONLY WAY TO TELL DISCONNECT FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND SEE IF RELAY SHORT OUT AGAIN.

I have a 1989 E350 that had the same problem. I finally found that I had corroded connectors under the hood. There was a group of 5 connectors behind the air cleaner housing under the hood. Two of them had hot wires that feed the computer and the injectors. Repaird these and the van starts right up. Hope this helps.
