Yes, it should. Your voltage regulator is integrated inside of the ECU. Unfortunately, this part is paired to the vehicle VIN number and must be purchased from a dealership, then they will charge you to pair the new one to your vehicle before it will work.

2005 chrysler 300 battery keep going dead

Try charging the battery with a small 10 amp battery charger with the negetive terminal removed, remove the charger and let set overnight. Hook the battery back up the next day and see if the car will start. If so, the alternator is bad. Drive to your nearest parts store and they can check the alternator to be sure it is bad. or just skip my first step and just go to the parts store, they will check the battery and alternator for free.

Had battery and alternator changed in my 2005 300 limited and my lights still flicker what else could be wrong

It sounds like you have a loose wire. Go back and check all the connectors. I know it sounds tedious but with electrical you just have to trace wires until you find the problem.

Charging system lights come on in my Chrysler 300 3.5l. Went to mechanic paid $129 for diagnostics. Mechanic told me the alternator was overcharging. Went and bought a new alternator replaced it myself and...

That is a tough one. Alternators do not overcharge because the alternator is bad. They overcharge because the alternator CONTROLS are having problems. The charging system in your 2005 Chrysler 300 is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Your vehicle needs to be diagnosed by someone who understands how this system works.

Sorry about the $129....I would raise a BIG fuss about that if they told you the alternator needed to be replaced. Apparently, they do not understand how your system works. (It is very difficult to give a correct diagnosis if you do not know how the system works in the first place.)
