I suggest you find a good tech
Looks like compatibility issues... guess u'll need to diagnose more.. have u referred to a help book? If u don't have it get one from google or find one from big-manuals com
I don't know but I would guess not - manufacturers tend not to use two if one will suffice and wiring harnesses are usually bought in and are relatively expensive.
The circuit diagrams we consider typical on older vehicles changed radically as electronics and then computers became part of a car. It is most important to obtain wiring diagrams and understand how the circuits work before troubleshooting computerised vehicles.
One major difference with headlights is often the supply is permanent (unswitched) and a black box switches the earthy side when the light switch/dip switch commands it to do so.
It would be easy to see how a person familiar with older cars could assume the wiring of a more modern car is messed up...

Hi,
Isuzu seem to have complicated things by changing engines, firing orders and even direction of rotation! As you can see, they've numbered the cylinders the other way than the 3.2L.
The Firing sequence for the 3.1 (traditional distributor) 6 cylinder is as follows -
If you take the distributor cap off, there should be a "No.1" formed on the inside. Stick a lead on this before you put the cap back on and go from there.
As leads are different lengths, you may have to swap a few to find the best fit.
I think 2 of them will look out of place - but that's the way it's designed. Just make use of clips for holding them neatly.
Thanks for using Fixya.

SOURCE: wiring diagram for 01 isuzu rodeo stereo
A few weeks ago I bought a new JVC stereo for my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo. I was advised that using a wiring harness would be the best option to install it. I spent an entire Saturday going from one store to the next (Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, Radio Shack, etc.) looking for the wiring harness specific to an Isuzu Rodeo but, to no avail. I searched several online sites looking for one and finally found it at http://www.beachaudio.com/ . The cost of the harness was under $10 and with express shipping I only paid about $20. Since I ordered it on a Wednesday night with 3 day express shipping, I assumed that I'd receive it the following Monday given any processing time and the weekend but, it was delivered to me just two days later. My husband installed my new stereo that Sunday using the harness that I purchased and it works great! Hope this information helps.
