There are many ways:
1: ;all OBD2 cars reset automatically, but can take many driving cycles.'(if cured !)
2: push the reset, (clear) DTC button on the scan tool.
3: pull PCM fuse, marked memory backup ,for 1min put back
4: pull neG lug of battery but this will cause PCM go to relearn mode on all things having this, transmission shift points and idle speed controls and more,
#2 is what all shops do. for sure, but yoiu can not get smog check until the OBD2 smog checks run out, and shows they did in the scans. (as seen here)
