Is there a CD stuck in the unit? If there is there should be a small hole where you can insert a paper clip to push the mechanism to eject the CD

  • paulalbright Jun 14, 2011

I believe the problem is w small plastic gear has come off a shaft in the eject/load mechanism. It can be put back on and glued and the cd unit should start working. The trick of pulling fuses and putting them back causes the unit to re-initialize after that gear has slipped some on the shaft, but not come all the way off of shaft yet. Pulling fuses will not do any good after the gear has come off the shaft. If you are handy, you can fix this yourself. If not take to a shop.or a Honey-Do.( Honey , do this, honey do.that....m). You will need to pull the cd/radio unit out and open and take Sparta till you find both the loose gear and the shaft it came off of. Glue it on and reassembled. I hope this helps and clear any confusion about why everyone is saying pull fuses and it not helping.

Hi my CD player will not eject my CD.s. It keeps giving me the CD error. We removed the #7 & #31 fuses. We have disconnected the battery are there any other suggestions to remove my CDs. I'm also...

do you hear your palyer motor running when you press eject??If so, the rollers that shoot the cd out are dirty or worn. This may work, Pound lightly on the top of the dash (above the stereo) while the CD is being ejected. I had the same problem on my 03 expedition, I pounded in the dash and the cd comes out. If your system is jammed, you would have to take it apart. Oh, this vahicle has alot of issues with A/C and heater controls, your actuator motor is probably faulty, making it unable to change airflow!!

Cd player keeps going out when i try to play/load/reject get 'error' message

Take out #7 and #31 fuses. Start the vehicle, the radio/cd will not come on. Shut the vehicle off and replace the fuses. Start the vehicle again and you shoud hear the cd player cycling through the cds. Be patient and let it go through the process. Then play/eject/load cds. It worked for me.

Hi what does Error 03 mean?

My endeavor has done this error 3 a couple of times and the cd changer basically shuts off all lights and won't do anything. Someone on another solution page said to slide a credit card back and forth in the cd opening to fix the problem. I've done this both times and it has made the changer play again as if nothing had happened : )

Cd player in ford expedition quit showing CD

If you can not eject cartridge
Press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge.Push firmly in and move left to right untill it ejects, this will locate micro switch.
The fuse is located on the back of the stacker, this is ok because your head unit recognizes stacker.

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.
