That is the battery stud. There should be a battery cable hanging loose around the starter. If there's stuff in the way follow the positive battery cable it will be a short cable going to one side of the starter solenoid. Follow the cable on the other side of the solenoid down to the starter and hook it up.

Have you tried “lochtite strong hold” thread sealer and allowed 8 hours to setup?

There are just 2 bolts that hold the starter to the engine, then there is the battery cable and the starter solenoid leads, take note of where the wires go before removing them. Lets talk safety, use jack stands to hold the car up, disconnect the battery so you don't burn yourself or start an electrical fire.

There are two bolts. One on top and one under the starter. It is best done by removing the rubber air intake tube and the battery. The bottom bolt is difficult but with a ratchet, socket and a couple of extensions it can be done. Disconnect the battery before disconnecting the wires to the starter.

you need to use an extension long enough pass the solenoid so you can put a ratchet on to turn it

The field wire to the starter has a small eyelet connector that connects to the small terminal on the starter solenoid (sometimes marked "S").
All other wires have a large eyelet connector and they are all connected together with the battery cable to the large terminal on the starter solenoid (sometimes marked "BAT").
Sometimes the field wire to the starter is a push on type connector, and there would only be one obvious terminal on the starter solenoid that it could be connected to.
