Yes,but why you can get this fixed easy if the wheel sensors are good and the system keeps activating there are bushings that failed holding the front or rear control arms stationary but a broken bushing will have give to that axle causing a twist an uneven traction if that's what is happening

Testimonial: "I need a new or rebuilt abs control module but unable to find one. Tried Napa, Car-quest OReillys, etc. Not one out there. The dealer is also puzzled. 06 Chey Suburban 1500 5.3 Traction control, Last 7 digits on VIN J171797 built 12/05 12 donuts"

Ok what state are you in there are u pull it yards that you can get it from real cheap the dealers of all cars don't carry or stock it after 10 years please post back and I'll put you in the right direction do not throw away the one you have because it's possible that it has bad solder joints inside it but you can't try to take it apart till you get a replacement in case you break the casing WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEED ANOTHER MODULE? Please explain it to me what you were told and what were the symptoms of your problem ok!and try to be as specific as possible I'm a taxi mechanic in nyc.with 50 + years of experience in all phases of the automobile and it's possible that something is wrong other than the module are you getting codes set for it and is everything else working properly in the vehicle sometimes other circuits are piggybacking on others and can cause open circuits from blown fuses and fuse links also was the vehicle ever in an accident that you know of because there could be wires that are broken or splices in them have caused oxidation/corrosion of the copper when exposed to air from pin holes from searching circuits the modules very rarely go out try to search all of the harness to make sure a body shop guy didn't drill holes in the fender to pull dents and now the jagged metal is cutting through wires also check the front this is a common problem ok

SOURCE: 01 Suburban with abs system. abs light came on

A relay controls the ABS motor. You can trace the wires running to it. The next time you shut the engine off unplug the relay. If that shuts it off get a new relay for the old one will not open its circuit to shut off the motor to the ABS motor

SOURCE: I need to know what fuse to pull to disable abs system on 2006 explorer 2 wheel drive.

Educate me because I know of only hydraulic ABS systems only the dash light is electric, help me. Now there might be magnets and coils in the wheels sending a pulse of electricity to stop the brake or release and start the brake but these solenoids do go out to lunch, why the fuse?

Yes it affects the ABS as they are really the same system. You need the system scanned for fault codes with a GM Tech2 scan tool.

2001 Suburban ABS motor staying on after ignition is off

what you have is a ABS module that has shorted out internally. you have to replace that module and then bleed the ABS pump AND the brakes at all wheels.

2002 Suburban 1500 - ABS Light On

No doubt the control module is out, and it continue to operate when the ignition key is off due to a circuit fault. You can disable it easily by pulling the 60 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box (it is listed on the panel as ABS). Note that this disables the ABS braking feature and traction control, so be very careful when driving. The part can be purchased on the GM global parts site, about $600-$700 for the module. This will be the second time this has gone out for me and GM is not sympathetic, rather "pathetic", for a part to fail so often.
