Problem is probably not with the door - try replacing the actuator. These actuator wear out over time giving intermittent performance.

2005 mercury mariner clicking behind dash

This is the actuator for the AC/Heater systems temperature control blend door actuator motor drive, the blend door is sticking and the motor gears are jumping teeth. Very soon you will need to have this problem repaired as you will loose the ability to control the air temperature at the register air outlets.

Heater on nissan almera

That noise is the heater and AC air temperature control electric blend door motor trying to move a duct door that is sticking due to heat warping. You will need to remove the entire dash assembly and replace the blend door. This door is located between the AC core and the heater core and "blends" the air from each (hot from heater core and cold from AC core) to give the desired air temperature,.

My 2001 malibu is blowing cold air out of the heater. why?

Two reasons are common and then theirs some other things that happen too. The first reason is even though the cooling system has coolant in it and maybe the recover tanl appears to be filled enough the system has air in it and it;s in the heater. the second reason id the heater core is stopped up as theirs no valve shutting off the coolant flow you can remove the hoses and wash the core thoughwith a garden hose and then reconnect and refill any missing cooant anf it fixes most of them. he next thing that happens is the air blend door does'nt move forn hot to cold for many reasons 1) the air blend door motor failed ( has a gear box that fails too) 2) the blend door is stuck ( this causes the motor to fail) The blend door is broken ( as it stuck and the motor tried to force it and breaks the place with the motor fits inton the blend door) 4) the heater box is filled with rats nest or animals nest and the air doesn't go though the heater core.

I think that the servo controlled temperature door is sticking in the closed position. We can turn the dial on the temp selector to warm things up a bit & no change occurs. After messing with the...

You are correct about the main blend door sticking friend. And it happens to cover the heater core part of the box under the dash on the passenger side. Look under the hood at the firewall and see where the hoses connect to the heater core. That's the position your looking for. Could also be just a tight bend in a vacuum line from the blend switch valve to the door itself. Everything to do with heat and A?C is vacuum actuated from a vacuum canister under the hood. My heater blows cold air but sometimes it works when I play with the control knob

It sounds like the blend door is sticking. It may be the switch, the motor on the door, or the door is just simply sticking.
