I have a 2004 GMC Envoy XL, all lights except the brake lights do not turn on?
Check if the connector is well connected on the break switch just on top of the break peddle. Check if theres power there... If no then it's the fuse... If yes then remove the break switch and inspect it manually with a finger by pushing and releasing the button while the connector is connected. That's DIY
Also note that General Motors ran a safety recall # 04087 for inoperative brake lights on your vehicle. Granted the recall came out 15 years ago and it may have already been completed on your vehicle. Info:
Condition
General Motors has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2002-2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT, GMC Envoy and Envoy XL, Oldsmobile Bravada, and 2004 Buick Rainier vehicles. In some of these vehicles, vibration and heat may cause the tail lamp/stop lamp bulb to loosen in its socket. If this occurs, the bulb may flicker and eventually become inoperative. The center high mounted stop lamp and turn signal functions are not affected and will operate as designed. The loss of one or both of the tail lamp/stop lamps could reduce the vehicle’s visibility to following drivers and fail to warn others that the vehicle is braking and/or is stopped, which could lead to a vehicle crash.
Correction
Dealers are to inspect the tail lamp/stop lamp assemblies, and if necessary, replace them.
You may want to check your VIN on the NHTSA web site to see if the recall applies, here:

theres usually a pressure switch behind the brake pedal, sometimes the plastic hex nut rattles loose and you have to retighten it.
SOURCE: is there a fuse that controls the brake lights on
UNDER THE HOOD IS ANOTHER FUSE BOX FOR THE LIGHTS.
SOURCE: I changed the brakes on
Do you have a good brake pedal, does it hold when pushed? Is the ABS light on too?
There may be air in the brake lines, there may be dirt in the lines. Have you tried bleeding the system?
