Hi,

For P1211 :-

This code means the ICP pressure is aove or below specs meaing there is a high pressure oil concern. You need to monitor the ICP with a scan tool and see which it is. If its high then its most likely a faulty IPR valve. If its low then its most likely a internal leak at the pump or stand pipes.

For P0603 :-

The code P0603 is in ost case set due to the performance chip.
If equipped, remove and recheck operation.

If the vehicle is not equipped with a chip, or removing it makes no difference, monitor the voltage on fuse #22 in the interior fuse panel to see if the battery voltage goes away when the problem occurs.

If the voltage on fuse #22 is dropping or going away, check for a loose terminal connection on the PCM power relay. Also try swapping the PCM power relay with a similar part to eliminate a faulty relay.

If the relay is OK, but the voltage on fuse 22 is dropping, suspect an internal problem with the interior fuse panel.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

What are codes p1249 & p1211

P1211 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Above / Below Desired P1249 Wastegate Control Valve Performance
P1211 We all know that this code is commonly caused by "Hot Chips" that are demanding more Injection Control Pressure (ICP) than the High Pressure Oil Pump can deliver. For what it's worth, these are the exact parameters that trigger this code:
  • ICP 410psi Higher Than Desired for 7 Seconds
  • ICP 280psi Lower Than Desired for 7 Seconds
This code can also be caused by legitimate High Pressure Oil System issues. Below is a list of some of the causes:
  • Failed or Sticking IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator)
  • Failed or Weak HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pump)
  • Any Leak in High Pressure Oil System (o-ring, stuck injector, etc.)
  • Low Fuel Pressure (Rare)

P1249 it is the HPOP, above or below pressure, if you have added a performance chip to your vehicle , you will get this code from time to time, basically its Turbo over boost

Diagnostic trouble cods - P1249 , P1211 , P0603 WHAT ARE THEY .

P0603 = Internal control module , keep alive memory (KAM) error

P1211 = injection control pressure (ICP) not controllable-pressure above /below desired.

Sorry, but I don't have a code definition for P1249.

Hi

Im not 100% here but will give you something to look into. Does the car have a EGR valve?

Secondly check the air mass sensor this could cause multiple codes and make the car splutter.

Is it a diesel? or petrol? if diesel it may have air in the fuel system or a faulty pump. when you done the head did you change the fuel filter, and bleed the system though? only if diesel!, and check the injectors are not leaking, poor water on to each and see if any air bubbles come up. again only if diesel.

Please get back to me if your unsure of anything

F350 7.3 code po603 need to know how bad or way

P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

Ford dealer Tech said to check for corrosion on the battery terminals, if
they’re good the check each battery individually to see if all cells are good.
If that still doesn’t solve it, he says to start pin testing the computer ????!!!??

P0603 doesn’t always mean you have a problem, if you are running any kind
of chip, programmer ,etc. you will get that code.

P1211 DTC

Loss of power, usually after a hard acceleration; Rough idle; Check engine light comes on, DTC P1211:
Intermittent high pressure oil leakage.
This condition usually occurs when the vehicle is cold and the oil is thick. When performing a hard acceleration, the truck suddenly looses power, the check engine light comes on, and once returning to idle the engine runs rough and won't accelerate. Cycling the key may correct the concern, clearing the code from the PCM will correct it temporarily. If you can monitor data stream, at idle the ICP pressure normally is 400-700 PSI and the IPR duty cycle is 9-14%; at cruise, ICP is 700-1200 pSI and IPR is 15-20%; under normal acceleration, ICP is 1200-2000 PSI and IPR is 20-30%; and under WOT accel, the ICP is up to 3600 PSI and the IPR is 35% or higher. When the above symptom occurs, typically the idle ICP reading will be normal, but the IPR duty cycle will be high--over 20% and up to the max 50%. A "blow-by" condition has occured somewhere in the HP oil circuit. If you can get the problem to re-occur with some frequency, the most probable cause is worn or deteriorated injector or IPR o-rings. If the problem is intermittent, it could be a sticking IPR valve. Replace the injector o-rings with the latest-level kits--F8TZ-9229-AA. When replacing the IPR, make sure you get the correct part for the build date/serial number of your engine.
