I don't know re this specific car, but, standard practice for the job, I assume?
disconnect battery at battery, remove wires and plug sockets at alternator..undo mounting bolts. Main mounting bolt may be a very long one which needs to slide out?
refit reverse to remove.
Be sure all wires are reconnected and tightened appropriately b4 re-starting car..

You cannot, First thing you need to do is get the codes using a diagnostic scanner that is able to access the airbag module. Your basic code reader will not do this. The code will tell you what airbag has an issue. If your a smoker in the car most likley the ASH destroyed the clockspring under the steeing wheel.
Testimonial: "Never knew there is a clock spring in the airbag system. "

You say you replaced the valves, what about the camshaft & rockers. I say this as if the valves were bent, the energy used to bend them also transferred through them & into the valve train. Just a thought.
Pressure test your cooling system to be sure it's perfetly sealed & there isn't a cracked head.
Run a vacuum test to determine if it is the valves causing the problem. If you are unfamiliar with using the vacuum gauge, they come with pretty detailed instructions & point out quite a few engine conditions just by observing. Not a bad idea to double check your camshaft timing.
Hope that this sheds some light on things, there are so many other possibilities, gasket not sealed perfectly, even when properly following the torque sequence & settings gasket surfaces not 100% prepared can cause sealing issues, plugs damaged by heat or impact that are not set at the proper gap. Vacuum hoses reversed or broken, leaking, pinched.
Lastly, double check all of your electrical connections to ensure they are properly plugged in and no wiring has become pinched, broken, grounded.
good luck

This sounds like a fanbelt or something similar...they normally occur at idle or just low revs, as soon as the eninge turns fast enough, it seems to grip better.........
WITH ENGINE OFF.......reach down side of engine and feel the deflection (movement) of the fan belts.....it should only move 5m at the most....get a torch and inspect them for cracking...tell me how it goes
