Yes its ok, the 75 tires are a little taller. your speedometer will not read correct speed, you will actually be going faster than what it reads.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the info on the speed,i wasn't aware of that."

It depends on the width of your rims. It will fit just fine.
The tire tread circumference will increase about 1 or 2 tenths of an inch and the speedometer difference will be negligible at any speed.
The "75" tire RATIO makes it taller compared to its own width when compared to a "70" tire, which is shorter compared to its width. The "70" tire just happens to also be physically taller by an immeasureable amount. The vehicle height will not change (measure the vehicle height on a level surface and measure again after you change tires - no difference).

Can I put 205/ 70/ r15 on my 2003 dodeg caravan sport. We have 215/ 70/ R15 on now will it be ok

You are ok with that. The numbers are
Xxx tire width
Xx is profile
R is rim size
Changing the profile is what throws speedometer off

Recommended tire size is 2352/70/R15 can I change sizes?

I don't believe there would be a problem due to fit but this is difference in measurements.
The 75 diameter (across tire) is 28.88 in.
The 70 diameter is 27.95 in
The 75 width of tire is 9.25
The 70 width is also 9.25
The 75 circumference 90.72
The 70 circumference 87.82
The 75 sidewall height 6.94
The 70 sidewall height 6.48
The 75 revolution per mile 698
The 70 revolution per mile 721
The 75 speed at 50 and the 70 is 48.4
I can't see why it would not work.

99 jimmy vibrating when i drive it. u joint? how to tell which one

You will have to get under the vehicle, and grab the drive shaft at each u-joint. Grab the first one, and move it up, down, and side to side to look for any play. Also pay attention to missing pieces, and missing clips that hold the u-joint in.

Another thing to check is your wheel bearings. Jack the rear up, and grab each tire at 3o'Clock and 9o'clock first, and then 12o'clock and 6o'clock. Wiggle/shake it looking for play. Do the front tires the same way. You should find it.

Most common reasons for vibrations

Uneven tire wear (alignment)
Unbalanced tires
Universal joints
bearings
drivetrain

I have a 2005 nissan sentra. Tire size is 195/60 R15. I have the chance to get 2 195/65 R15 tires at a good price, and want to put them on the back, keeping the 195/60's on the front. Will this be OK? Some...

Hi!

195(width in mm)/60(sidewall height in % of width) R15(rim diameter)

This means, a 195/60 R15 rides lower than a 195/65 R15 tire. Imagine how it would look like when you put these different tire sizes on one car. It can be done but the car will be unbalanced both mechanically and aesthetically. Remember, your car was not designed for different front and rear tire sizes unlike some sports cars.

A 2005 model will most like come standard with ABS as with most cars produced year 2001 onwards.
Just buy 1 tire size for your car. If you wish to change to another tire size, change all the tires.

Good luck!

Ok I just bought a 1998 gmc Jimmy and this is my problem when your driving down the road it has a pretty bad vibration but when you turn to the left (only) it goes away any ideas on what that could be?...

Sounds like a belt is seperated in the front left tire...your local tire store can inspect this for free...your next check would be alignment...tough chuck holes can cause mis-alignment and unecessary tire wear...Hope this helps....(Front left wheel bearing does this too, but a slight grinding noise is also present)

What size tires a jimmy needs?

Owners manual has the answer. Also on either the door column or inside the fuel door should be a list of original and options tire sizes. Look at the present tires. They are all marked as to their rim size, and dimensions. Probably LT235/75 R15 if they are original now.
