2004 Saturn Ion. No power at fuse 11 (ignition), fuse good. Vehicle does not crank.

After you disconnect the battery, you have to reset the security system. The immobilizer is stopping the car from starting.

The ECM kicks up the engine rpm's a bit when the A/C is on. This is normal. In the winter, the A/C kicks on and off only if you have the dial set on defrost. this clears the inside windshield of condensation. Again this is normal.

Where is the starter located on a 2003 saturn ion

It is located about in the middle between the engine and the transmission. Also it is directly below the intake manifold. Hope this helps.

2003 saturn ion wont turn over at all dont even get the usall starter clicking just one click every once in awhile

How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit Looking at a wiring diagram an testing the starter circuit with a DMM - digital multi-meter is the way to find the problem . Free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on engine then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue link .
Looking at the diagram you will see this starting circuit is computer controlled . Ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module. A message to the ECM - engine computer from the BCM requesting a start over the serial data network (class2) will energize the relay sending B+ voltage to the S terminal on the starter solenoid . Your best bet mite be to have it towed to a qualified repair shop.

When i try to start my 2006 saturn ion dash lights go on starter clicks but engine doesn't turn over. if iwait 5 to 10 min it starts this only happens in 1 to5o times.

Possibly loose or dirty battery connection

Battery is so weak so it doesn't have enough juice to crank it. You cn't not even horn it.
If the battery is over 5 years, replace it. It it is leass than 5years, recharge it. Good luck.

My 2005 Saturn ION will not start once in a while. It's random. Checked for loose wires, etc... everything is good??? If i wait about ten minutes and then try it, it will start up.

My 2005 did the same thing. It was the ignition switch. Happened mostly when it was a cold morning. Seems to be a common problem.

Unable to start but lights came on battery is said to not be the problem then tried module but states a new battery was put in because it wont hold the charge still do not know what the problems is

sounds like a bad starter, test for power with a testlight,have someone crank the engine while you check for power at starter , the small wire should have power when key is in start position. if theres power then replace starter, hope this helps good luck.

Lots of Issues with Ignition switches. Car will not crank due to incorrect pass lock voltage to BCM.Most Likely Has A DTC B2960,B3033 Stored in BCM Most likely need another Ignition switch..Good Luck

I'm it is possible that you may have gotten a faulty starter just saying it does happen a little more information would be helpful also like do your lights all turn off you have a check engine light on? Like I tell everybody else if you have a check engine light on you can buy your own code scanner and can I get to the OBD connector or you can have your car scanned at AutoZone for free and they'll give you a printout of whatever code you throwing

Two things come to mind - one is the possibility of a bad battery lead crimp that can transmit current just long enough to turn the engine once - check at the starter with a testlamp or analogue voltmeter.
The other is an immobiliser that can't quite make up it's mind whether it is armed or disarmed. Check the supply to the solenoid when attempting to crank, if it disappears it could be immobiliser, ignition/starter switch, relay, wiring*...

If battery current is present at the starter, manually energising the solenoid will test the starter and supply. If it cranks the fault is*...

Drain the cooling system.
Remove the bolts that secure the thermostat housing to the water pump feed pipe.

Remove the feed pipe

Remove the thermostat and retaining sleeve, noting the orientation for installation.

Installation Procedure
Install the thermostat and retaining sleeve with the dimple placed into the housing slotImportant: Lubricate the O-ring with soapy water or coolant before installing the O-ring in the water pump.

Install the feed pipe that connects the thermostat housing to the water pump.Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the bolt that secures the water pump feed pipe.
1. Fill the cooling system.

One is front of the cat, and one after the cat of the exhaust.
The OBD Scanner should tell you which bank is producing the error.
Bank one is the front one.

does the vehicle have an anti theft device on it if so it may need to be reset. usually all you have to do is unlpug the negative batt cable. for about 5 mins.and reconnect it. if this does not solve the problem look i the owners manual to see how to override the system.
