SOURCE: how to replace valve cover gaskets on 1995 BMW 530I

sounds like a leaky oil presure switch. they will leak oil out of the wires comming out of them sometimes saturating the connector of the switch. If that isnt the problem then your oil pump is weak causing the lite to come on or your leak is so bad your oil level is so low the lite is coming on

SOURCE: We just changed the oil

The most common cause of no- or low- oil pressure indications isn't the failure of the oil pump or a blocked filter (these all have bypasses) but the failure of the sender/sensor providing the input for the sensing circuit. Apparently, this also applies to the top-end cars as well. Oil pressure gauges showing an actual range of pressures are far more reliable but more costly to make.
The majority of sensors used are primitive devices using a disk of metal that 'clicks' at pressures above a few pounds to keep the warning away and when these fail, they generally close a conductive path to 'send' the no- or low- pressure signal for the warning.
These are normally not costly items to replace.

SOURCE: where do I find oil sending unit on a 2001 BMW

Full oil does not mean that you have oil pressure.
The sending unit is located right by the oil filter mount.
It is very possible that you have a bad sending unit, gauge, or actually do have low oil pressure...best to have pressure checked by a good mechanic

What reason is caused?A BMW X5 engine oil pressure warning light

May be due to oil pump wear, filter blocked by dirt, oil filter is exposed out of the oil surface, the oil level is low, the oil mixed with air and the pressure gauge is caused by the failure of the. In addition, the oil viscosity is low, the oil seal and poor lubrication, lubricating oil viscosity is too large, too cold oil sludge deposition too much also can cause the oil pressure indicator display abnormal.

We just changed the oil in our BMW 745li and it keeps on saying that the oil pressure is low. How do we turn it off? Or what might be the problem?

Oil light comes on between services on bmw 318 ti es

Oil light should not come on unless the Level is LOW or the Oil Pressure has dropped below safe operating limits. I would do 3 things
1. Check Oil Level, if low, fill to the correct level and then restart.
a. if the light does not go out....
2. Pull the Oil Pressure Sending unit out and install a pressure gauge
a. if the pressure is in normal operating limits, chances are the Oil Pressure sending unit is bad
b. If the pressure is low, the issue is
1. Oil Pump
2. Engine Main or Rod bearings are bad and a engine rebuild is on its way

For 2002 BMW 325I a yellow oil light comes on when engine first starts and sometimes at random times then turns off a few minutes later. All oil levels are good. Not sure what this means and how to fix it?

The oil light does not show that you need oil necessarily. The oil light goes on when the oil pressure is low, not the oil, so it could be a problem with your oil pump or otherwise. Common that it would go on and off, it it were to stay on for very long you'd lose oil pressure and could be in trouble. Have it looked at.

Good luck!

I have a 2007 BMW 750i, when i start engine engine...

Good day.Your problem may cause a second things.st improper use of engine oil viscosity numbers, 2 low pressure in the lubricating system. In poor lubrication is needed to answer the question, a few deleted, and find out why these options: Suction basket is oil in order of entry is not blocked or distorted, and reduced oil flow?It is not clogged or restricted flow oil filter? Measure the device's real pressure oil pump provides oil and whether it is within the tolerances of the manufacturer? Determine whether or not clogged or otherwise restricted lubrication system in distribution channels of the engine? In the case where this all goes well then it will only be a faulty sensor lubricant pressure and still shows the "low pressure" in fact, it is good :-) The picture of oil system in your motor.fac423d.png

BMW 318iSE (1999) engine warning light

That sounds like you bought big problems. Oil ights indicate low oil pressure= BIG BUCKS. I would have a qualified repair shop check it out, A shop that specializes in BMW. If you are lucky, maybe the oil sender is just bad. They can also check out the Ck eng light. But the oil light is priority one.

Yellow oil light comes on when starting the car

The 'idiot' light only lights at about 4 pounds of oil pressure (not a good thing) or below which means that: 1. Sensor has failed (very common) 2. Oil filter may be too dirty to pass oil as it should and the bypass in it has failed. 3. Oil pump is worn and failing.
The latter two possibilities can mean that you have low pressure compared to what it should be (30-60#) but enough above 4# to keep the sensor happy.
The sensor isn't terribly costly, even on a BMW it should be less than $30 US and the labor to install it is about 10 minutes.

I have bmw 318I the oil indicator for motor appear when use break

The engine is low on oil. but assuming it is not.
The engine is either idling to low .
The engine oil pressure itself is low. The engine oil pressure switch is leaking or not reading the oil pressure in the car.
I assume there is not knocking noise from the engine.
I would check for any oil leaks on the engine .
IF there are no leaks , I would change the oil pressure sesnor or switch first .
This could lead into major engine work.

Good luck
