I have a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix SE and puffs of smoke are coming out of the steering column. I was told the problem may be dust getting in there and burning up. What could be causing that?
The problem is your signal light switch circuit board is worn out. Ive replaced that same part cause i was having the same problem. Then i had to replace my steering column for other reasons and now guess what .......MORE SMOKE!.
This is a defective igntion switch, replace it, that is not the key cylinder but the actual switch.
