Replace the glowplug relay. Its faulty. The glow plugs stay on until engine warms up.The engine temp switch then activates the relay to switch off.So it could be the temp switch also faulty.

SOURCE: 2000 ford super duty 7.3 diesel will not cold start

you need to have the engine coolant switch checked, since the computer relies solely on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the computer will make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the computer that it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting a car in the winter without a choke.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a 2005 hilux 3.0 turbo Diesel , it started blowing blue smoke at startup from cold at 130,000ks . Once it warms up a little it clears.

There can be several reasons for this. You can have worn valve stem seals on the valves, which may change with warm oil, or you have worn oil rings in the cylinders.

A compression test when the engine is cold would reveal if the piston rings are worn. Another possibility could be a bad head gasket which leaks oil when cold and then seals when the heads warm. A compression test would also diagnose this.

Toyota Corolla 2 Litre diesel. Why loss of power at low revs when warm?

Sounds like piston blow by, as the gap increases and diesels have such high compression. When the turbo kicks in, the pressure is restored.

How to fix my 2000 Ford F350 7.3 turbo loss of power I stepped on the gas and I will hardly move it cutting out

This is a "power stroke" diesel right? If so, Diesel and Gas engines will have different issues contributing to "loss of power. However ALL internal combustion engines require three things in order to run.
1) Air
2) Fuel
3) Spark (or in the case of diesel, glow plug)
Given the above and the issue described. I would Start with fuel supply, i.e. filter and or fuel pump.
Should this prove to be out of your wheelhouse. You can always have your local part store plug in an ODBII reader. Most likely there will be a code associated with your issue. From there you can make an informed decision as how to proceed.

Good luck,
Jason
