Hi David J Dunworth, check the relay for the parking lights
maybe the contacts in the relay are sticking
check when parking lights are switched off if any voltage is going to the relay's coil via the connector socket point that the relay pushes into .
    Us a 12v dc probe .
or volt meter / multimeter .

Go out and purchase a North American built vehicle.
Actually, it could be the connection inside of the switch, inside of the handle on the steering column.
These do wearout and do need to be replaced, the cost . . . I have no idea but it will not be cheep!
If it is still under warranty, call your dealership mechanic and ask them, there could be a recall that you have not received info on.
Good luck

SOURCE: battery drain

650 milliamp is too much. The Beetles had problems with the microswitches in the door latches that tell the convienience module if the doors are opened or closed. If it doesn't see the right signal the computer wont go into sleep mode an it will stay powered up draining the battery. VW techs can check the output of these switches to see if they are working right with their scan tools.

SOURCE: Brake and Parking lights won't turn off, even in "OFF" position - Drains battery

Get under the dash ad look at your brake pedal lever. You will see a stop light switch that screww into a bracket with a 'button' sticking out of it. if pulling up on the brake pedal (even slightly) solves your problem, then the switch needs adjusting closer to the brake lever. If adjusting does not stop problem then replacement of brake light switch may be required.

SOURCE: airbag light stays on

Hey,
take a look at www.airbagmodul.com

They're working in Airbag-Simulators and Occupancy Sensor-Simulators.

My door light keeps going on killing the battery

For now, figure out how to remove the door light bulb so the battery will not drain. The bulb is not the problems, save it aside. Next, try the switch that is somewhere around the door frame, usually made of plastic, and usually inserted into a hole.
It that switch is broken, it may not be shutting off when the door is closed.
Blessings.

2004 hyundai XG-350 Check engine light is on and

Sorry Peter I do not have a solution to your car problem, but I also own a 2004 XG-350 and the SAME EXACT thing is happening to my car right now, crazy huh. Pretty much started out of nowhere...the boyfriend is going to go try the leaving keys in ON position and reconnecting the battery. Did you happen to find out what was wrong with yours, thought maybe if you did it would help save me a step. Praying nothing to serious. Hope you got your car working well again!

Thanks,
Nikki

How do you reset airbag light on a 2004 hyundai

The airbag light being on means there is a problem with that system. You will have to pull the code to pin point the area of the system having the problem and either repair it or have it repaired. You cannot reset an Airbag light without correcting the problem within the system.

Airbag light stays on

If it is a side air bag code, unbolt and tilt the seat up. there is a yellow connector on a black base, remove from base and tape the connector diagnolly and then all around the connector. then, re-install connector to the black base (it can get tight with the tape) and re-attach the seat. then, remove both battery terminal clamps and leave off for some time, helps to put your foot on the brake to discharge any voltage left in the system. re-attach the cables to the battery and turn key on, code should have been erased with battery disconnected and light should stay off.

Chronic problem with airbag light staying on.

Not sure of the year of your car, but there was a recall to resecure the harness connector. If it is 2005 the entire airbag harness should be replaced, Sorry only the dealer can access the air bag info.
