You must check a few things to eliminate causes ok , so first answer this question , does your engine stay running when your parked idling and when you press on the gas to raise the rpm's it still runs yes/no? If yes you must check the spark plug gap on each plug , wait for the engine to cool down for 1 hour they take out each spark plug and check the air gap between the center firing pin and the bottom electrode using a gapping tool you can buy this at autozone ,and the gap is listed on the emissions sticker on the radiator support if your not say on doing this stuff get a guy to help you ok ///your engine will idle fine when the gap is out of specification maybe a little shaking in drive ,but when you are driving the extra heat generated from the engine being under a higher load will cause the gas to evaporate and burn up before the spark ignition takes place so the loss of power or stalling will be the result when you take out the first plug if it's out of gap they all are and if there's enough center firing pin left you can regap them but it's better to replace them all at the same time 1 by 1 they should be removed ok

In order to charge, you must locate the low pressure valve to install the refrigerant. The low pressure valve is between the compressor and the evaporator. Do not charge on the High Pressure side, The high pressure valve is between the compressor and the condenser. To locate the low pressure valve, follow the line that comes from the compressor and routes toward the firewall. The valve will be somewhere on that line. Do not overcharge. The amount of pressure that is needed on the low pressure side will depend on the ambient outside temperature.

If you have a 2004 lincoln ls,the PO420 is-- Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. ( Bank 1) The list of possible causes are long. I have the same vehicle, and the Emissions Manual, which is several hundred dollars. Don't let anyone tell you it is a bad Converter. It may be, but it is only six years old. I would check for codes. The ignition coils (Coil-On-Plug) go bad on all Fords and a misfire, resulting overheating of exhaust system etc, will set all kinds of codes, and they may not be related, to the real issues. Lincoln is where one of everything goes, when it comes to the latest technology. Check that the O2 Sensors are screwed in tight. Later on you may need to have them checked out,if no ignition issues or malfunctioning coolant temp sensor issues. Use only 5-20 Oil. I use Mobil 1 synthetic. Hopefully your not using any,and ruining the converter. Make sure you have the system full of coolant, including the Degas container, the one where antifreeze mix goes. Remember GO5 Yellow antifreeze on ford products. Also bleed the hose next to the brake booster to let out air,in the coolant system. You can check for above normal fuel pressure. I would not go to a Dealer and spend more than necessary. Find a good shop that knows these vehicles. You can't fix every problem on all makes that come thru your doors today. Hope I give you a start on things to have checked. I would stand in the service bay by the car and have the tech prove what is wrong before I would authorize any part replacement.

Remove the door panel and check things out. Them I'll answer your remaining issues.
SOURCE: how can i find the keypad code on my 2004 lincoln
In the grey folder with your owners manual,is a white card with the factory code, for the keyless entry keypad. It also, tells you, how to put in your own code
SOURCE: what does srvc (p) mean on a 2004 lincoln ls?
Means your parking break is confused (it's electronic).
This can happen if you unhook/rehook the battery.
How to fix: while engine is running and car is in park, turn parking break on, then off. Repeat. It should now be fixed.

I can only post so much for an answer Joann so next if the answer was no to the question first get some fuel injection cleaner and spray out the throttle body especially if you see a dark brown gunk behind the throttle plate if so use the whole can to clean it out this comes from a low quality no name fuel there is no detergents in it use the major brands like shell ExxonMobil bp sunoco also add 2 cans to your gas tank and fill up this time using premium fuel 93 no go for a ride for 1 hour at 55mph + depending on your speed limit ok 55 is good enough , the reason for this to be done is that ,the higher octane premium fuel is more stabile and burns slower in combination with the high concentration of fuel injection cleaner will clean out the injectors of the same brown gunk that will stop fuel from getting into the engine cylinders and mess up the air/fuel ratio and stop the efficient explosion inside the engine when the spark plugs fire to ignite the gas from happening causing power loss at higher rpm's (under load ),also the new fuel/cleaner combo will produce a much higher temperature blue flame inside the engine to clean it out this is also needed to clean the intake valves in the engine and the catalytic convertors will also benefit from the higher slow burning flame out produced by the combo ok next comment coming
