I've recently replaced the passenger side curtain airbag so that took care of the passenger airbag light. But it still shows srs light on. its not continuously or like flashing its just always on. I checked all the connectors and wiring they all seem fine . I've also checked under both front seats for any pinched or unplugged wires as well as the seatbelts.Im not sure what else i should be looking for. please any suggestions or info that may help, is very much appreciated!
You’ll need to get the error code read first, but I’d hazard a guess that the SRS system is holding the fault code permanently till cleared, or there is a subsequent fault.

The problem is the seatbelt latch. The wiring right at the latch and the strap are broken. Seems there is not enough slack in these wires to allow much stretch. You may be able to repair it if you can splice these wires back together if not about 160 to 170 for a new one. you can have it put on a machine and if the code leads back to the latch then you know this is the problem.

Often there are 'UNUSED' wire harness connectors in various places on vehicles (i.e., heated seats for example when the vehicle didn't come with them). The best solution is to find out what trouble code exists in the SRSCM (Supplemental Restraint System Control Module). There are over 100 different codes/troubles which can turn on the AirBag light. Take the veh in to a Hyundai dealership to find out what code(s) has/have been stored in the SRSCM -- it simply might be a "History" code, like DSAB (Driver's Side Air Bag) Resistance - High - H. Hyundai Dealerships use two different scanning systems - HighScan and GDS. Once you find out which code, you can go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register and access all the info you want about your Sonata. CAUTION: Air Bag systems encorporate explosive components - trust the professionals

Even thought the wiring might look ok unplug the the wires under the seat spray the plugs inside with some penetrating oil and try it again. that often works wonders

Most cars and trucks can be re-set by disconnecting the negative batery cable for about 10 minutes...this should auto re-set to factory specs...if the light comes back on, you have wired into the wrong system. Hope this helps.
